Josh Boles/Andrew Kennedy; TYP Tapes in general: Josh Boles and Andrew Kennedy are friends of mine from greensboro that put out a split tape last february that’s one of my favorite albums of 2013. TYP Tapes is a DIY label some other friends of mine put together where they release a bunch of local musicians albums online and on cassette tapes. They put together a collection of what’s basically a musical history of Greensboro from the early ’90s up to today. Really neat stuff.

Bubblegum Octopus/Thing-Worker: Matthew “m@ the c@” Morden a.k.a. Bubblegum Octopus, was and still is one of the best (if not THE best) “nintendocore” musicians, although “spazzpop” is a much better description of his music. really happy blippy music about cats and stuff. he’s also done an experimental noise album under the name Thing-Worker, so if you’re into weird noise stuff you might enjoy it.
